Magnetic Compass Adjustment

MARINA Accreditation No. 0355040

In maritime navigation, accuracy is non-negotiable. Despite advancements in electronic navigation systems, the magnetic compass remains an indispensable backup—a fundamental tool required by maritime safety standards. Keeping it properly adjusted is essential not only for safe navigation but also for regulatory compliance.

Why Compass Adjustment Matters

Magnetic compasses are influenced by the vessel’s structure, onboard equipment, and surrounding magnetic fields. These factors can create deviation errors, which—if unchecked—lead to inaccurate headings and compromised navigation. Regular adjustment is therefore vital to ensure precision and confidence at sea.

At Sabas Electronics OPC, we are proud to be MARINA-accredited to perform magnetic compass adjustments in accordance with national maritime standards. Our services are carried out by Certified Compass Adjusters who have undergone rigorous training and assessment to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Choosing a MARINA-accredited provider ensures your vessel meets the requirements of the Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) while maintaining the highest standards of safety and performance.
